LevantX would like to bring attention to hateful speech that has been directed at the Collective for Black Arabs and Black Saudis. This weekend, a healing space was held by its organiser, Amna, to discuss discrimination experienced by Black Saudis and Black Arabs across the Gulf. Non-Black Saudis subsequently screen-shotted the images and names of participants and posted this information on Twitter.

Amna and other collaborators are cherished contributors at LevantX and have received hateful communication and face recrimination. Black Arabs across the region face continued harassment for expressing their concerns over racism. 

We ask:
That our followers head to Twitter to report this tweet. Allowing this Tweet to stay up not only violates the privacy of the participants, but allows others to troll, retweet and threaten violence. Amna has received death threats. 

We ask that you DO NOT retweet the original Tweet as you further expose the participants.

في نهاية الأسبوع الماضي، قامت المنصة بتنظيم مساحة آمنة ودعوة عدد كبير من السود في المنطقة العربية للتحدث بحرية ومناقشة تجاربهم العنصرية التي تعرضوا لها. وللأسف قام عدد من العرب غير السود بالتقاط صور لملفات المشاركين وتسجيل الجلسة ونشرها في تويتر، مما أدى الى تعرضهم لتهديدات بالقتل والعنف

آمنة وباقي النشطاء هم مساهمون عزيزون، يعملون بجد لمواجهة العنصرية التي يتعرض لها السود. في كل أنحاء المنطقة كلما تحدثوا علناً عن المضايقات التي يتعرضون لها

ولذلك فإننا نطلب من متابعينا 

التوجه إلى (تويتر) للإبلاغ عن هذه التغريدات والتي تنتهك خصوصية النشطاء، وبقائها طويلا سوف يسمح للمزيد بإعادة نشرها وتهديد المشاركين في المنصة للعنف
